It is difficult to be precise about the cost of designing a garden prior to seeing it. Design fees will depend upon the scope of the project and the size, complexity and topography of the site. As an indication, a basic design for a small garden costs from £700. This fee would include drawing up a site survey and undertaking a site assessment, followed by the development of an outline plan with illustrative drawings of the proposed design. Fees will be higher for more complex sites, for example a heavily sloping garden.

Fees for additional services, such as detailed planting design, preparation of construction drawings to ensure the design plan is properly realised, preparation of specification documents to obtain quotes from contractors, and managing a tender process or on-site project monitoring during the build are agreed separately as required.  These services are generally costed on an hourly basis. By way of example, a detailed planting plan for a small garden typically costs around £200 -300, depending on the planting area and planting style.

Costs for plant supply and planting are on request and subject to minimum order values.
